Well I'm just glad your not too injured from lifting your crossfit gypsy weights and practicing absolutely appalling form because no one trained you properly on how to do actual Olympic lifts, to find time to hijack someones profile and misquote them.

Also, I now realize why crossfit appeals to so many chumps, because it seems easy and combines the fun of body weight aerobic exercise with actual weights. Women hate the idea of going to the gym, loading up plates and getting swole'd up like a monster. Rather, they enjoy activity of jogging in place and doing pseudo dance moves and cheaters pull ups. (yeah like your ever going to do a fucking kipping pull up if your hanging off the side of a cliff) Crossfit combines the fun of fad exercise, with lousy instructors, and a culture of self blaming for getting hurt with fun things like sprints and runs and balls, and hoola hoops. Women have always shied away from masculine activities, but crossfit provides a medium of feminine favored aerobics with the bastardization of power lifting.

Like these nerds think its a badge of honor to say they got hurt doing a simple exercise! Only chumps and chumpettes get hurt strengthening their body.

Power lifting takes dedication, the will to construct a regimented work out that builds all muscle groups focused on symmetry and lasting strength and perseverance to stick it to it for months. hard to get a powerful chest, legs, or back when you only work them once a week. But again women arent interested in strength, so it doesn't matter. Don't get me started on the fact that crossfit incorporates cardio before lifting weights either. doing cardio before or during weight training is retarded, first cardio saps your energy leading to decreased strength and performance, it also releases cortisol with no increase in testosterone. cortisol is your muscles worst nightmare, as it actually breaks down your muscle tissue to be used as source of energy, so when you go to your crossfit gym your basically spinning your wheels. This is fine for women, because they just want something that isn't so masculine and want a place to dance around and feel like they're actually working out and not just running on a track.

oh yeah and the stupid fad diets...pfft yeah these chumps are serious about being idiots when comes to nutrition. "I know lemme focus on a diet that i know i dont know shit about and how it will definitely inhibit my muscle growth but ill do it because i was told to", yeah I guess those who participate in fads are generally well divorced from free thought. I mean look at this website, http://health.usnews.com/best-diet/paleo-diet the paleo diet got poor scores in safety, short and long term weight loss, nutrition, and heart health! But everyone does it because it's in vogue! Lol

Crossfit is for sheep, it's for the weight lifting illiterates that go into a gym and go, "Oh wow, I don't know where to begin" i better pay someone an exorbitant amount of money to barely train me, and probably get me hurt." Crossfit is built and founded on the ignorance of the masses, people who know shit all about weight training are easily lured into the clutches of the crossfit box where they can be indoctrinated with the most fantastical bullshit rhetoric, and these idiots are none the wiser that its all bogus. I will say crossfit is good cardio exercise, but thats it, nothing more.

Well wasn't that a lovely butt hurt rant over a dick loving joke, it's always good to see no matter how ignorant you may be of a thing your blind conviction in what you know to be true allows you to be spend time trashing and belittling a thing you've never tried, and you know that I enjoy.

While you write about sheep and the blind leading the blind you constantly regurgitate the same crap strewn across powerlifghting sites full of the mass of angry bros who can't understand why something that has been around a significantly shorter amount of time has gained so much attention and support. It's alright I know it can be difficult to feel misunderstood.

It's like being the cool kid on the block with the best bike then some nerd shows up with his imitation bike and fools everyone into thinking he is the cool kid. We wanna be the cool kid

"Aside: I’ve showed this article to a couple people who have been in CrossFit for a little while, and I’ve noticed a slightly disturbing trend. There is a sort of “brainwashing” that occurs from the first time a person steps into a box (CrossFit-speak for “gym”) that creates an “us vs. them” mentality. Boxes have attempted to combat the bad reputation of CrossFit by saying that other gyms do bad stuff but their gym is different, their coaches know good form, their gym focuses on safety. This is simply not true and every single thing that I’ve posted in this article refers to EVERY SINGLE GYM THAT FOLLOWS CROSSFIT. There are no exceptions, if you’re following the WODs, it’s not good for you, it’s not safe, and you’re putting your health in danger. Take it for what it’s worth, but please believe that your box is NOT different, no matter what your coach says."

I could agree with some things in this article but for one dude who has tried 2 gyms to tell everyone that there is not one exception that no coach out there knows what there talking about does their own programming is just stupid it's bad to deal in abosolutes...just like the fucking sith man

yeah he hardly has a large enough sample size to draw any meaningful conclusion about all cross fit gyms. It is really scary that for 36 hours you can become a certified cross fit trainer. That's no where near enough time, and with such a quick certification, injuries and mayhem are certain to follow. Like forcing people to bang out 30 hang cleans for time. Youll end up with Kevin ogars all over the place.

I suppose depends though I don't know the numbers on people that have no previous experience who just decided I'm going to get certified and start coaching, all of our coaches have been weight training for years and the other is in college for kinesiology and all that the navy guy was insisting you have to have to know what your talking about.

Point being you have to be certified to open a Crossfit gym, I would be surprised if there were more coaches with no previous experience than those who were doing more tradional things before getting there crossfit cert. Your not forced to do anything you can it quits, scale the weight reduce the reps whatever you want seen it and done it myself.

Yeah but experience does not automatically translate into an ability to teach or communicate effective effectively to large groups of people. I've spent six years lifting and I know I couldn't properly couch someone through the proper hang clean technique.

Also cross fit is a completely different monster, so it totally negates any training you had because it's such an unusual work out regimine that no amount of experience in traditional power lifting or Olympic lifting can prepare anyone to properly guide anyone untrained person through. Like just because you have an econ degree does not mean you're qualified to teach econ let alone teach world history with that econ degree.

Your argument goes as follows and falls prey to a logic fallacy:

Dogs have fur
dogs bark
cats have fur
therefore cats must also bark

Also it's interesting you point out the idea that ultimately a person in a cross fit work out can scale down the weights and go at their own pace to prevent injuries. You yourself did not practice this method of not overdoing it as you gave sustained several injuries. What were the extraneous causes of these injuries? Ego? A sense of being in a competition and wanting to compete poor supervision? This is all part of the culture and mindset of a cross fit work out. People need to push themselves to a breaking point in order to post the best time or boast about doing the most weight.

The point is that while you can and it is suggested that you not over do it and listen to your body many people don't. This is because of amateurism in the trainees and the culture of competition. I mean someone in your gym worked out for months with a broken wrist and you continued working out while you had tendonitis in your knee.

Hair line fractures rotator cuff damage and tendonitis and muscle strains and tears are very frequent in high intensity work outs, crossfit or otherwise. Crossfit which is extremely intense and mainly practiced by amateurs provided the perfect environment for unnecessary injuries. The qualifying baseline for people to participate in crossfit I'd way too low. If they set the standards where they should be in order for people to safely get through a WOD I would safely say that at least 45% of current participants would not be allowed to do a WOD in any crossfit gym. But there is no regulation and system to check that safety is being enforced. Crossfit is a money making machine and you can't make money when you're turning people away so people's safety is sacrificed for profit.

you wouldn't throw someone who's only played peewee football into a pro football game, but that is just what crossfit does. Crossfit is a workout meant for people who have almost a level of expertise in strength training and an extensive background in physical training. But even then, doing heavy Olympic lifts for time is still very unsafe.
